4 Matches too late

Winning a game is a good thing. Usually.

But when its a game of the deadest of dead rubbers it doesnt mean much.

At least we can say we were there.

The crowd was poor by we managed to hang out at the most happening area of the ground.

It felt good to be at a match we won, but you couldnt help but feel that India werent really trying.

What went wrong, Why are we so shit, was a question often being asked in SL these days.

The answer of course is simple. We dont score enough runs and dont get enough wickets.

Sanaths 188 series runs includes a century. So thats 81 runs in 4 games.

Dilshans 174 runs is on the back of his last match 97. So 77 runs in 4 games.

Kandambys 154 runs include a 93. So 61 in 4.

Mahelas 122 is with a 52, so 80 in 4.

You see the pattern. Not enough runs from the big boys.

The brave new hope- Kapugedara managed 64 in 5 matches.

None of SL bowlers average in the 20s. 5 Indians did this easily.

But of course SL will try to take the positives out of what was otherwise a piss poor attemp at out gunning the MSD led limited over savages.

And to be honest there is only 1.

King Sanga scored 13 runs less than Yuvraj Singh who collected the most runs for the series.

With 3 half tons to his name he is the only batsmen who can say he did his job.

So, we at flyslip has done the deep probing analysis and the groundwork for Bayliss and Mahela  – improve the rest of the fucken team and SL should be good to go.

atch> it was a decent comeback, would have liked to see some numbers in the wickets column though.

    SP> He’s being ‘rested’ 🙂

Nesta> I trust you dint hold the same view at the end of the game.

Bandara is a good bowler but is unfortunate to be playing next to Mendis and Murali , who will undoubtedly be first choice for SL.

He lacked variation but seems to have developed his leg break at different speeds, a good bowler for T20 IMO.

Hope we get to see more of him
