I admit, I have a problem

Being a Sri Lankan cricket fan right now is a bit like being an alcoholic. A manic depressive. And Ted Bundy.

For the longest time, you deny that  you even have a problem. You start with a couple of world cup final losses. A test match here and there. And before you know it you are knee deep in series losses. Improbable losses and just end up feeling ashamed.

You cry by yourself. You contemplate cutting yourself. You call up a sponsor and talk to him about supporting the new and young Australian side and then they get rolled over for 47. This leads you to googling about symptoms of depression. And convince yourself you are without much hope.

You stay up late, in the dark, in your living room, just mumbling to yourself. You masturbate to clips of old wins on  youtube. This makes you both happy and sad at the same time.

Then when you least expect it you’re given a chance to think that maybe you’ve sorted yourself out. But a couple of days later you fall off the wagon harder than you ever have.

The fact that I am writing this out is proof I know I have a problem. Help us. Help us.

    This was damn funny. 😀

Cricket really is agonizing to watch these days. I switched to following the matches on cricinfo, but our boys proved in the last match that even that is too depressing.

there is a very big problem with the Sri Lankan Cricket team and I believe its more psychological. they posses the talent but unable to make it happen.
Cricket started to become boring until the Aussies won the 2nd test at the last minute. 🙂

Well….it is really hard to figure what the problem is but there is an over reliance on certain individuals in the team…and the other players play around them which has been the problem always…the thing is that murali and vaas not only bowled well but took responsibility and scored a few vital runs here and there too….the young players seem to play for their own survival and not for the team….and our team will never move forward unless they change this trend…:(

Its like you have some sort of surveillance camera mounted at my home; I have ALL the symptoms, and a few more!

But seriously, relax. The future is bright. Chamara Silva has been recalled to the side!
