Keith Fletcher once famously requested Bandula Warnapura to show him how his spinners will be gripping the ball and how it will turn or that he will instruct the ECB to not give SL anymore one off matches. As match fixing was not an issue in those days, this was common practice and was acceptable in the Spirit of the game.
