Hopefully some of you realised yesterday that we made our debut on cricinfo. Or not.
It was an interesting start. At one point the flud of hits on the site had caused the tfs.net to crash- or so I thought. Apparently it was just an issue with firefox.
Have a look at what went on there by clicking on this clever little link
And thanks for all your support over the years!
So Damith, how does it feel to be the first Sri Lankan after King Kumar to be a writer for cricinfo?
That might be inaccurate, our boy Andrew Fernando – who writes for the flyslip as well was probably the 2nd ?
Feels good man. I hope I can get a few more up their with SL oriented stuff. That’s really my goal !
But feels good man !
Also wouldnt mind a plug from – the best overseas blog in Lankansphere 🙂
Congrats Damith ! I’ve always admired the way you write. was missing your articles for months. Good to see you back.
P.S : waiting for SL family part 2 @ Island Cricket

Congrats Damith! Awesome work buddy!
Oh I didn’t know that. But still it’s cool to be in cricinfo, though sometimes it’s still crapinfo. LOL.
Plug? You mean you like me to write for FlySlip? That’d be cool.
Btw,
“I hope I can get a few more up their with SL oriented stuff.”
didn’t sound exactly right. You know what I mean.
😛
Congos buddy! Nice start.. Wen i saw the pic i was wondering why itchy Mitchy was rudely cut out of frame.. aahhh then i read the piece.
And Sachin-Jaya: business rivals end up working for the same company. LOL
Very amusing and creative article! I read the whole thing and looked down to see who the writer was, and I was like,
“Wait, I know this blog!”
Keep it up (with the Sri Lankans)
Congratulations, mate.
Really happy to read this.
Thanks guys. I couldnt really have done this without you lot coming here and spreading our name around. So thanks to everyone.
Specially to Chinaman and Jrod. Who have been a great help all these (2) years!
Congratulations man! 😀
