South Africas ‘unbelievable’ bowling potential

2008 Stats for their attack (Minus Bangladesh)

Ntini – Avg 33 (Away 30)
Morkel – Avg 33 (Away 32)
Harris – Avg 41 (Away 46)
Kallis – Avg 36 (Away 37)

Only Steyns been any good with an average of 18 this year. Zondekis played 1 game.

Even Bangladesh has potential Mickey.

Getting the job done is another matter.

LOL… and he mentioned that this attack was almost on the lines of the windies… apparently not quite there I believe.

    Good debunk 🙂

hehe, I saw a similar post on beer and sport – http://beerandsport.net/the-great-saffattack-myth/ – which also excludes the Zimbabwe stats and makes it look even worse. Can anyone say overrated again?
I don’t think Steyn is going to have that much of an impact either, and considering how strong that Aussie line up will be, especially at home, I predict 1-0 to the aussies. There is no way Australia will be bowled out more than 3 times…

    we will see..we will see…

btw i’d like to see everyone’s averages minus bangladesh…..

steyn is pure class and the best fast bowler in the world and will be for a long time to come

we never compared our attack to the windies – the english media did!

Except Steyn, no bowler in SA lineup to trouble Aussies…Ntini is no more the bowler he once was after Sehwag butchered him in Chepauk 🙂

    4-0 or 5-0 to Aussies 😛

scorpi> ya he did go a wee bit overboard on that one dint he ! but apparently the english media twisted it.

attechup> i think steyn will be a threat actually cuz he swings it at pace. aus have been found out against good swing bowling, 05 and in the series in india, i think steyn might do quite well.

    africo>these averages are minus bangladesh.
good to see you here !

    sam>would be a feat since they r only playing 3 tests 🙂

SA’s bowling attack was a tad better than Australia – how much was it again – yes 414/4. Second biggest total to chase which SA did quite comfortably.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!
