Where in the world is Splendid Mendis?

Its the question that’s been burning you all day, all week, even all month perhaps.

We are here to put your doubts and confusion to rest.

The last you may have heard of Mendis was when he was shot at in Pakistan and had shrapnel removed from his head.

The man is badass.

So it is with great satisfaction that I inform you that international man of mystery is back. After spending some time with him mom and visiting the place from which he draws his mystical powers Mendis is ready for action.

So you want to know what hes been up to. Well Ill tell you what hes been up to, he’s been playing interprov -2020 cricket and taking his team to the Semi Final that’s what hes been up to.

He has been in the wickets too. 7 of them in 4 matches at an average of 12. His economy  rate is under 6. Just some fine tuning for the IPL.

Splendid plays for Wayamba in the interprovs and will be facing Ruhuna in the Semi. Why is that important? because Sanath Jayasuriya, Upul Tharanga and Indika De Seram are in that line up.

So it really will be a massive test for flyslips own. De Seram is the top scorer in the whole tournament and has smashed Ruhuna into the knock out match almost single handedly.

But Mendis is looking good. Picking up a 3fer against Ruhuna themselves in the group match.  After having had a bad few months of itnernational cricket by his massively high standards Splendid has been working hard and seems to have regained some of his meteoric form.

The flight and guile were there as well as all the variations. In short, flyslips own is ready to take over the world again.

The IPL might be his stage this year.

  1. As an Indian supporter who saw the man run through the famed batting lineup, the mention of his name sends a chill down the spine.

He probably scares batsmen the way the West Indies pace quartet did in decades past.

Fantastic talent, and even better for cricket to have bowlers of unconventional, yet superlative skill. Can’t wait to see him back in action
