Steady on England

The high fives were out.

KP was smiling like Christmas had come early, getting ready for one of his strangely pompous sound bites.

Graeme (not Graham) Swann spoke about how he thought Test cricket would be boring when asked about whether it was living up to all he thought it would be by Athers.

Yes, England finally had a good day in India.

Prior pushed them past 300. Swann created a world record.

And Freddie proved that Yuvraj has no business being in a test team.

A word of caution though. Indias darling is still at the crease. So is Dhoni. A few weeks ago Harbajan and Zaheer put on a 80 against the Aussies and drove them back into the game.

How about Dhoni wearing those last few overs from Freddie, Balls I tell ya, Rock solid.

So a lot more to be done then.

One thing is in favor of the English though, Australia dint have a spinner in that game.

England’s now got a world record holder and Monty to clean up the tail.

As a devoted Swannette of course I loved today – but I’m an English fan so I’m not expecting another good day – just wallowing in this. And I loved Freddie bantering Yuvaj out of composure and into indiscretion – and I loved MS Dhoni for trying to tell Yuvraj just to ignore him and I loved Bhaji giving the ball a good wallop at the end. Roll on tomorrow!
